Animation

Brief

Poster in Motion is focused on transforming a static poster into a
60-90 second animation. The process begins with selecting a poster that aligns with the creative intent, followed by conceptualization, storyboarding, and final animation production in After Effects.

The animation should extend the story of the poster, whether by building on an implied narrative, introducing a fresh perspective, or taking an unexpected creative turn.

Solution

While the poster series told its own story, I wanted to add an element of surprise to the animation. By focusing on a few of the lamps and characters from the series, I was able to create a deeper look at how each animal lamp behaves, sounds, and moves, giving them unique personalities. Through sound and the appearance of a light turning on, I crafted an unexpected and engaging environment.
